Hikaru is loyal, anything that has gained his trust and devotion will never lose his support. With honeyed words and a charming smile that would melt almost anyone’s heart, he charms his way into his pride. Goofy and childish he seems to cause amusement and lighten up tension with his humor. Observant and focused he tends to spend quite a bit of his time just watching everyone, observing their movements, mental ticks and more. Willing to takes risks to prove his ideas and methods, even if some disapprove. Dedicated to no end he spends most his time and effort on any task he sets his mind to, no matter if it succeeds or not. Passionate yet quick to anger, his fiery nature tends to go off at random. Making those who don’t know him well confused. In reality it’s his bottled up feelings coming to the surface, easily released by harsh words, body language and such. Hikaru has a resentment towards his and his mother’s deafness, trying to figure out who is to blame for their differences. Venomous is a well-hidden trait of his, full of malice and spite for more things than he’d care to admit. Even though he doesn’t show it, he is easily impressionable. Those he cares for influence him more than anything, good or bad, right or wrong. When nervous, overjoyed or angered he tends to talk a little too much, words flowing out of his mouth without a filter to keep from hurting others feelings. Last but not least he is Cynical, believing people cares only for themselves and their own self-interests.
Personality
For Hikaru, the light element became his passion, unlike most everything else it doesn’t require the sense of hearing. It was one of the few things in his life he wasn’t limited in, he could go as far in his training and skill as he desired, not held back by anyone or anything. He found his element as a safe house, something he could use to hide away from the world and its cruel inhabitants. Light flows through and around him, and he can feel it… The way the sun warms his skin, rays of light slip through the clouds, every gleam of light that flows in or around him, no matter how small. Controlling it however was another task… Although unlike some elements he didn’t need to make light out of nothing as it was almost always there, manipulating it to his will, well it proved to be hard task to master. When he first discovered his element he was overjoyed that he shared something positive with his mother, yet scared of not being able to control it. His first test with the element left his sister, Ligeia, blind, at least temporarily. It was his first discovered element ability, although weak and its effects not lasting more than ten minutes, he has developed and practiced it in every spare moment until he gained more control over it.
